Honest, empathetic, highly-skilled, LGBTQQIA affirming.
I am a private practice therapist working in Durham, NC. I see adults 18 and over for individual therapy.
If you are struggling with memories, symptoms, worries or feelings that are getting in the way of living a fulfilling life, even the simplest challenges can feel overwhelming. Psychotherapy is one way to work through your fears and doubts so that you can return to optimum functioning. Often, simple and short-term interventions are enough to get you back on the right track. (Visit About for more information on my approach.)
Because of my varied educational background in therapy, public health, yoga, women’s health, social justice and healthy sexuality, I can offer a holistic perspective on challenges you are facing. I openly welcome clients of color, immigrants, queer and trans* clients, and clients of all genders.
I also offer clinical supervision for associate practitioners working toward a License in Clinical Social Work, and I am available to lead trainings on various health and mental health topics for community, agency and practitioner groups. (Visit Services for more information on training topics.)
Please take some time to look over the information provided on my site, and decide if you feel like my approach would be a good fit with your needs. I offer a free, initial 30 minute consultation to prospective clients to make sure that we have a good therapeutic fit. I am happy to speak further by phone if you have any questions.
